My name is Rebecca and I’m a Level 3 qualified,
Ofsted-registered childminder in Hazel Grove.
I live with my husband and two children.

As a mother myself I appreciate the pressures of returning to work and the anxieties you experience as a parent when placing your child into childcare. With this in mind, I began childminding in 2011 and always try to ensure that my approach is flexible, family-friendly and adaptable to give you all the necessary reassurance that I’m providing quality childcare in a safe, caring home environment. Since then, the Little Tinkers team has grown to include three people (myself and two full-time assistants). Find out more about each of us here.

We aim to provide a fun and educational experience for your children whilst they’re with us, and as such the setting is equipped so that they can learn from all types of play – both indoor and outdoor. We involve all the children in a range of activities, taking into consideration their differing ages, skills and individual requirements in everything we do. We also regularly record each child's development so that we can monitor together the unique progress of your child. As with any childcare setting (nursery or childminder), we
follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, so play is structured and themed accordingly, but most importantly we work hard to ensure it’s still lots of fun for the children and caters for their individual interests.

Whilst under our care, we take the children out and about as much as possible to a variety of locations including parks, the library, playgroups, play centres and local events. Likewise, we promote a healthy attitude towards food from an early age – providing a healthy mix of foods and encouraging the children wherever appropriate to help or be involved with the preparation of their meals or snacks, which in turn encourages them to try a wider variety of foods.

Why not look at the Little Tinkers Facebook page to see what we get up to through the week?
